Top Five Saddest Songs
74Top Five
This list is made up of the songs that really get to me. I decided after hearing a few of them I'd go ahead and make a hub about this. So without further ado here's my top five saddest songs.
Seize The Day
5. Seize The Day - Avenged Sevenfold
At first this song wasn't that sad to me, but once you've seen the music video for it you can't help but think of that everytime you hear it, making this son number 5 on the saddest list.
"Trials in life, questions of us existing here, don't wanna die alone without you here
Please tell me what we have is real
So, what if I never hold you, yeah, or kiss your lips again?
Woooaaah, so I never want to leave you and the memories of us to see
I beg don't leave me" - Avenged Sevenfold
The Ghost Of You
4. The Ghost Of You - My Chemical Romance
This is by far one of the saddest songs I've heard from MCR and the music video matches the songs sadness in every aspect. At one point this song almost had me in tears.
"Get the feeling that you're never
All alone and I remember now
At the top of my lungs in my arms she dies
She dies
At the end of the world
Or the last thing I see
You are
Never coming home
Never coming home
Could I? Should I?
And all the things that you never ever told me
And all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me
Never coming home
Never coming home
Could I? Should I?"
3. Whiskey Lullaby - Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss
Most people that have heard this song know exactly where I'm coming from this this. It's an extremely despressing song and it was put together beautifully. If I'm not mistaken this song really hit good on the radio and I haven't came across anyone that hasn't liked it.
"He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said I'll love her till I die
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby"
2. Where'd You Go - Fort Minor
I think everyone that has heard this song knows what its about, and its not exactly what you would call the happiest of tunes. This song is not only sad but it also has a message behind it.
"And I'll tell you, I want you to know it's a little f*cked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home..."
1. Concrete Angel - Martina McBride
Any song that hits a point such as this one definately deserves to be number one. In the music video for this song the camera follows around an abused little girl, at the end she ends up dying. This is one of the only songs that has ever made me cry... So in my opinion it's my number one choice for this list.
"Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late"
The End
Well that was my list, if anyone has any songs they want to add feel free to.
